  • The apartment is conveniently located near the city centre, a short walk from the train station and local amenities. You can easily access nearby attractions, restaurants, and parks.

Check-In and Check-Out Times

  • Check-In Time: 3:00 PM
  • Check-Out Time: 10:00 AM
  • For early check-in or late check-out requests, please contact us in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate, depending on availability.

Wi-Fi Details

  • Your Wifi router is located in the hallway cupboard of your apartment. There is a pull-out tab on the back of the router on which you will find login details. Please use these to connect to the wifi.

Parking Instructions

  • Parking: Because of the city centre location there is no free parking on site available. You can park on the roadside for free, for up to one hour (please check the signs) and there are longer term paid car parks nearby. We recommend the following:

    The car park is a surface site and has 401 spaces, 4 Pay & Display Machines and a Customer Service Kiosk. 
  • John Lewis car park, Bridge road, Welwyn Garden City AL8 6TP - This is a 2 minute walk from the apartment and takes payment from the on-site machine.

Key Access

  • Fountain House apartments are keyless and can be accessed using the codes provided in your check-in information. Please contact us if there are any issues accessing your apartment.

Emergency Exits

  • In case of an emergency, exit the apartment using the main door and follow the hallway to the nearest exit stairwell. The building’s evacuation plan is mounted in the communal areas.

House Rules

To ensure a pleasant stay for all our guests and to maintain the property, we kindly ask that you follow these house rules during your time at Fountain House.

 

1. Noise and Quiet Hours

  • Please be mindful of noise levels, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. This is a residential building, and we want to respect our neighbours’ peace and privacy.

2. No Smoking

  • This is a non-smoking apartment. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartment and common areas of the building. Please use  outdoor smoking areas if needed. A fee may apply for any smoking-related damage or odors.

3. Pet Policy

  • Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the apartment. If you have any specific needs, please contact us in advance to discuss.

4. No Parties or Events

  • Parties, events, or large gatherings are not allowed in the apartment. If you're hosting visitors, please keep the number of guests within the apartment's capacity. Any unauthorised events could result in an immediate cancellation of the booking without refund.

5. Maximum Occupancy

  • The maximum number of guests allowed is determined on your booking agreement. If this number is exceeded without prior permission, we may charge an additional fee or cancel the reservation.

6. Waste Disposal

  • Please dispose of your waste properly. Rubbish should be placed in the bins located in the fenced off area outside of the block's back door. When exiting the back door this area will be on your right hand side. Recycling is encouraged.

7. Kitchen Use

  • You are encouraged to use the kitchen, but please ensure that all appliances are turned off and that dishes are cleaned after use. Kindly leave the kitchen as tidy as you found it.

8. Safety

  • For your safety and the safety of others, please do not leave the apartment's front door open or unlocked when not in the apartment. Also ensure that the main entry doors are closed and do not let unknown persons into the building. Keep windows secured when leaving the property.

9. Damages

  • Please inform us immediately of any damages, breakages, or maintenance issues. While we understand accidents happen, any significant damage to the property may result in additional fees.

10. Respect the Property

  • We ask that you treat the apartment and its furnishings with care. This includes keeping the space clean, using the provided amenities responsibly, and adhering to any specific instructions found within the apartment (such as for appliances).

Using The Induction Cooker Hob

The cooker is an induction hob, so firstly you need to make sure there is sufficient water or food inside the pot/pan, then you place this on top one of the stove.  The heat only works if the pot is heavy with some food/water. Then on the hob you will see the symbol of where each stove is located.  You press this until it reaches a high number, then the cooker will heat up.
